Trip to Malaysia, April 2007

On the last day of March, Jos and I boarded a Singapore Airlines flight bound, unsurprisingly, for Singapore! Jos had been a busy travel agent, researching our accommodation, transport, and activities while I was here working on Drupal sites and other Egressive stuff. Our plan on arriving in Singapore: fly directly on to Penang Island for a few days exploration and staying at the "Blue Mansion", then bus to the Cameron Highlands and an old "mountain house" hotel for a couple days to explore the jungle and tea plantations - and get out of the heat - then on to Pangkor Island for a couple days at a resort on the beach, followed by a bus to Kuala Lumpur (where I hoped to catch up with my old friend Tze Low) for a night, then on to Malacca (a.k.a. Melaka) for a few days to check out the old city, and finally back to Singapore, where we'd meet up with our friend Rosie Jeffcott, spend a couple days, and then I would fly back home, and Jos and Rose would fly on to an adventure-filled couple weeks in Italy!
